Leader of the Light of the World, convicted of pedophile, now denies from prison that he abused his victims

Univision obtained Naasón Joaquín's response to the lawsuit filed by the Jane Does. The document is a contradiction to his guilty plea, as he denies sexually abusing them and says he did not act maliciously.

In response to a class action lawsuit filed by his five victims in a California court, Pastor Naasón Joaquín García denied having sexually assaulted them and assured that there is no evidence against him. This response contradicts his guilty plea that led to his being sentenced to almost 17 years in prison on pedophile charges.

A hearing will be held on July 20 to determine if there is sufficient evidence to precede this new lawsuit.

The legal problems of this pastor do not end there. There are two other lawsuits pending in Los Angeles. In addition, agents from the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are investigating other allegations of sexual abuse in the United States.

The Mexican government also has him under scrutiny for alleged human trafficking and tax evasion.

Naason Joaquin continues to govern his church through letters that he writes from his cell in a southern California jail and that are read in the temples of La Luz Del Mundo.
